This wine is inspired by a cross-country road trip where, for a long stretch, all that was seen were gables—the side of a barn roof—and the Great Plains. The wine is perfect after a long day when sometimes it feels like you've been driving for hours but haven't gotten very far.

Despite its name, there is nothing "plain" about this wine.

Spicy aromas of cinnamon sticks and Chinese five spices dominate the wine, with a sweet-seeming finish on the palate. This wine's tannins make it a perfect pairing for steak dinner and roll perfectly into dessert.
